What a delightful experience to be driving through miles of stop and go traffic and listening to Granddaughters. No coal mines here in the Piedmont, but my mind was lifted away from the grind into a different time and place. Your words have so clearly captured the moments in time when love and loss were combined to create the beautiful women we knew as mother and aunts. Bless you for bringing their lives alive in your magical words and music. Their stories had such a huge impact on the women we have become. You have reached deep into their souls and brought forth an amazing tribute to them and all the lives they have touched. Thank you!

Sue I were in the balcony at the Laurel Theater for your SOLD OUT Concert. Every time we see you in concert we think it just can't get better than this; and you know what? You get better and better! I've been listening to you sing for a long time and I remain one of your greatest fans! Keep going! You just get better as you go along.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a glorious night. I wish you could sit in the audience and hear yourself the way we do. The songs you and John wrote are wonderful, and the group of musicians you gathered round to present them did them proud. I am so lucky to have been there last night. Keep writing, keep singing, and keep being you.

Heya Maggie,

Remember me? I was the one who came with Jayne to help set up the Festival. We, for one, help set up the tent that went over the stage you were singing on. I watched you get WHACKed with one of the pipes on the hand. That was probably my fault because I wasn't holding it very straight.

I was also the one who was positively SHOCKED on how much of a great singer you are. I had no idea you even sung. I was standing with a few people I knew next to the craft tents, and all of a sudden I hear this beautiful and strong voice come from the stage. Because I'm a huge Joan Bayez fan, that was the first name that came to mind. We went over there, and you were just giving it your all! It was almost spiritual.

I really enjoyed listening to you, and I'm going to get your album when it comes out. You and your brother are great song writers.

I also have many pictures with you in them - on the stage and off - if you're interested.

Much Love,
Taylor of Knoxville

Hello Maggie,

I just finished walking around the lake at my office building and listening to Teachers and Travelers on my iPod. Your songs do serve me...I feel hopeful, inspired, grounded and whole with your lyrics and melodies. I am again reminded of who I am.

With love and gratitude for you and your willingness to share your gifts.

Hi Maggie:

Love your web site, and Marianne and I REALLY liked a song of yours we just heard on WDVX. We are Bill and Marianne Gurley, who were in a trio called Goldust back during the early 80's, and met you a few times back then. We have just recently returned to doing some music again with our partner, Bob Easterly.

Keep up the great work!

Loved seeing you in LaFollette at the big reunion. I can't believe it's been such a long time. The new "Granddaughter" songs are wonderful. I'm so glad that you are back to share your music with all of us. Seeing you and John brought back great memories of LaFollette and Nevada Ave. Keep up the good work.

Hello Cousin,
You still have it without a doubt. I heard "Thunder Road" the other day and thought of you and the house in Oak Ridge when I made you play and sing that song as least 3 or 400 times. I still know all the words.
Love to all

Got curious having visited Knox"patch" for a short visit last weekend. Searched Google for you, too. (Glad to see I am not the only one who knows Google is the best engine.) Good to see/hear of you and find your home page. Proud to have known you if even for a very short time so many years ago. Health, happiness, and prosperity to you!

Well, here is another way to reach you. Good old Google. I just wanted you to know that I played Granddaughters and Teachers and Travelers for a huge group of the oldies where I work. They LOVED your music and want you to come and sing for them live. One of the ladies who has dementia told me three times that you touched her heart. Another said that she could listen to you all day because your songs tell such wonderful stories. They have asked me to play the CD's again soon. Just wanted you to know that your music continues to touch many lives and that I am proud of you.

Hi Maggie,

Just wanted you to know my 86 year old mother has become a big fan. I sent her a Lonesome Coyote CD for her birthday & now she dances around her apartment every day. Mom loves your voice & claims the music is keeping her young. Now, every time I call her I hear you guys in the background. Yesterday she said she was raving about the Coyotes to the senior citizen "lift-line" driver & the woman was so impressed she promised to buy a CD for herself. Mom should be in Knoxville late this summer or early fall, she's hoping to see you guys live...me too...caroleann
